Characteristics

Located on the northwestern tip of the lush tropical island of Langkawi off the coast of West Malaysia, The Els Club Teluk Datai with its Ernie Els designed 19-hole championship golf course is one of the worlds most uniquely captivating golf projects.

Designed as a tribute to nature, The Els Club Teluk Datai meanders its way through million year old rainforest cascading down to the turqoise waters of the Andaman Sea and is overlooked by the marbled limestone peaks of the Mat Cincang mountain range. With 5 ocean front holes and stunning views of the Thai islands that lie just off the coast, its easy to lose focus on your game as youre immersed in such a serene environment.

Just 30 minutes’ drive from Langkawi International Airport, the resort offers the weary urbanite an idyllic retreat to nature. The Els Club Teluk Datai is under the same ownership group as the world-famous resort, The Datai Langkawi, where guests will be pampered in a surreal tropical rainforest experience. The beach at The Datai Langkawi has been voted in the Top 10 in the world.
