The Haagsche, also known as the 'Old Lady' has been founded in 1893. When the club couldn't feature over her own course on Waalsdorp in The Hague anymore after the second World War, the club bought the current 18 holes course in Wassenaar in 1947. This course has been built in order of Daniel Wolf Jzn in the wonderful dune area Mijendel in 1938 and is considered as one of the most beautiful courses of the European continent.

The design of the course is from the famous architects Colt, Alison & Morrison Ltd. At the realisation of the course the undulating dune landscape has been maintained. The course together with the dunes creates one naturally whole. Each hole offers a complete different view and each one is a surprising challenge. By means of durable maintainance, taking in account vulnurable nature, the course will be maintained in excellent condition.
