Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club - Designed by José María Olazábal - All you ever wanted from golf and more!

A marvelous course studded with palm trees on the sunny Atlantic coast of southern Spain. It offers 27 Championship holes with sculpted fairways, studded with stately palm trees, and dotted with lakes and bunkers.

The course is an intriguing layout on level terrain alongside wide Atlantic beaches. Players of any level are tested, but no matter one’s level, everybody will enjoy this superbly designed course and you will remember it fondly for many years. The European PGA Tour recognizes Costa Ballena Ocean Course’s caliber of golf and has used it as one of the European Tour Qualifying School courses since 2005!

Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Course is golf the way it should be as you walk down the palm studded fairways enjoying temperate weather year round.

The extensive practice facilities are amongst the best to be found in Europe. The centerpiece is the huge all grass driving range which allows 120 players to practice at the same time. The greens have slopes and undulations which will allow you to practice any shot imaginable. The gigantic putting green with many levels and slopes will hone your putting. There is also a 9 hole Executive course which you can use to work on your short game to shave off a few strokes.

The Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Course clubhouse design was inspired by the typical cottages that can be found in the nearby Doñana National Park. The restaurant with its amazing views to the Atlantic Ocean from the terrace is full service restaurant renowned for its authentic Andalucian, Spanish, and international food.

Costa Ballena is located just south of Seville & Jerez (home of Sherry wine) so there is plenty of sightseeing to enjoy and Andalusian cuisine and wines to savor when you are not on the golf course. It enjoys an exquisite setting on the expansive beaches of Spain’s southern Atlantic Coast. During your stay in the area after golf, you can discover the many Moorish places in the many nearby historic cities.
